A week from tonight starts Rosh Hashanah, and every year I post a link to Leonard Cohen and Sonny Rollins powerful version of Who By Fire, taken from the Unetaneh Tokef prayer of the High Holidays This year we might chant - who by Ebola, who by obesity; who by the state, who by terrorist act; who by winds, who by rains, who by climate change; who by apathy, who by ignorance; who through poverty, who through prosperity; who by abuse, who by neglect; and who, who should we say will be calling? You dont need to celebrate Rosh Hashanah to be moved by the power of these questions.
