A week is a long time in politics just as a day is a long time in the memories of ANC politicians. Everything that has been done in the very recent past to protect just one single man, our honourable and esteemed president has had an adverse effect on the legislature, parliament, the Public Protector and even the media. Almost every bill put toward parliament is designed to protect just one man or it has to do with the curtailing of freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution. Democracy is under threat in South Africa. Mantashe also admits that there is no freedom of conscience and opinion in the ANC NEC by calling former ANC leaders free agents because they are I constrained by the rules governing the NEC. An organisation that is undemocratic at its core cannot be a proponent of democracy. It is totalitarian in nature. Its good that the truth is finally coming out and its from veritable sources. The ANC is. Poor shadow of its former self under Zuma and his cronies.
