A well established Logistics company based in Boksburg, requires the services of a Research and Development Engineer. The incumbent will be able to work independently and as part of a team and must possess excellent interpersonal skills, English verbal and written communication skills and high level customer service skills. Have the ability to meet deadlines, follow procedures accurately, strong attention to detail and organisational skills, work with various levels of management and staff; and handle confidential data. A high level of computer software applications is required as well To be responsible for: Technical studies in terms of warehousing activities including • Process definition • Sizing (team, MHE…) • Layouts • Quotes You will be part of 3 types of activities: • 2dary network implementation project • Tenders / quotes / commercial presentation for business development • Reengineering of existing operations Salary: CTC including bonus between R 700 000.00 and R 800 000.00 per annum Minimum Qualifications • Grade 12 (Matric) • Technical Studies Qualification Minimum Experience required • Min of 5 years Warehousing and 3PL experience • Experience and knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) • Experience and knowledge of Warehouse process and layouts • Experience with Projects and Consulting • Must have a strong Financial Background • Must be able to operate on a Supervisory Level Key Performance Indicators include: • MHE and team sizing • Prepare operational reports • Development, maintenance and implementation of processes • Ensure safe working environment and compliance to legislation • Commercial quotations and presentation for tenders • Re-engineering on current operations • Technical planning of Warehousing Layouts Competencies Required • Strong Analytical Skills • Solid technical knowledge and competence • Advanced MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) • Attention to detail • Committed to deadlines and quick turnaround times • Excellent administration skills • Approachable and willing to work as part of a team • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent service orientation • Taking accountability for tasks and see them through to completion timeously • Strong personality and not easily influenced by others • Honest, reliable, a high level of integrity • Must have own driver’s license • Must be willing to travel If you are self-motivated and reliable kindly email your CV to [email protected]
