A wet, soggy, gray Christmas...no! I would rather have 20 degrees with blue skies and bare ground or better yet a light coating of fresh snow. This warmer pattern that we have been in this month has given us plenty of sunless days and there are more to come. We have only had 2 clear sunny days this month with 15 cloudy days as of today. Our average temperatures is sitting at roughly 5 degrees above normal as well which tends to come along with clouds this time of year. A slight chance that the scattered snow showers Tuesday will give us enough snow for a white Christmas. Temperatures will remain mild until Thursday. This weekend the highs will drop to the teens behind a clipper that could bring another coating of snow on Friday to the region. The longer range does look a bit colder, but not bitter. That should mean more blue skies for us to enjoy as we wrap up the year and head into 2015. Trade-offs...right!
