A while ago Ive posted something about the many ways Bach essences can be used. I mentioned adding them in candles. Today I was asked a question about this specific use ... and how these Essential Oils can be use in candle making. In case the nature of the Bach Flower essences is unclear to any of you passing by, maybe you should read what is following: Yes of course you can add the Bach Flower Essences in your candles. Nevertheless it seems that you are making a confusion. Bach Flower Essences are NOT essential oils. They are NOT fragrant. The only smell you can get from them is the smell of brandy ( when they are made with brandy. Some brands dont use brandy). You cant add Bach Flower Essences to your soy candles to make them smell citrus, ginger or flower...If you are looking to add perfume in your candles, youll need Essential oil ( or synthetic perfume / which youd probably better stay away if youre making soy candles). Essential oils are made by distillation. This process is very different to the ones who allow to make the Bach Essences. Distillation gives a product who has physical properties and physical components. You can give an Essential oil to a chemist. He will be able to find what plants have been use to make it and will name them. If you give a Bach essence to a chemist, he will only find the brandy ( when brandy is use) and water but will not be able to tell you what plant/flower have been use in that essence. The energetic signature of the plant- flower cant be seen with a microscope. Energetic healing isnt not physical healing. The remedies arent the same in their very core thats why they dont work the same way. Flower are physical entities and they do smell...most of the time, gorgeous. Most flower smell but some... dont. There is one common fact share by the Bach Essence Flower. They are ( for most) made by and with non fragrant flower. Id say that these special flower focus their existence and energy on something more important than nice but useless volatile perfume. They are focused on the essence of life. Only the purest vibration possible. Perfume would be a distraction from this purity and a waste of time and energy. Therefore its simply impossible for any of the 38 Bach Flower Essences to give product with any perfume quality. The Bach Flower essences are very special. They were not chosen by Edward Bach because they were pretty, or smelling nice. These are the usual qualities why flower are chosen for. Bach Flower were chosen for their energetic signature who match the energetic field of healthy human ( or living being). Edward Bach wasnt looking for perfume. He was on quest for cure.
