A while ago a chaplain was on a routine foot patrol walking up a gentle slope, when he felt a jolt of pain just below his shoulder blades, the pain slowed him down a bit but he was able to finish his shift, A few days later and he was on evening shift, he had rested his back and thought he would be fine. A search came in to be on the lookout for xxxx who was believed to be walking to Beachy Head and at risk.....the two chaplains searched high and low but didnt find the person, they followed up the search with a phone call for an update and sure enough the person had been intercepted before they reached the area. The chaplain with the bad back was beginning to suffer with his back again and was really struggling. His partner suggested he go to the hospital at change of shift, which is what he did as he couldnt even fill his lungs without severe pain. He signed himself in at the reception and like an old man, hobbled into the waiting area and sat down, he wasnt alone, there were half a dozen other people waiting to be seen and there to his left was a person sitting just two seats away was a person he had never met, but he knew this was the person he had been searching for earlier that evening. You are xxxx arent you and the person said yes, and the chaplain said Ive been looking for you this evening, and for the next 3 hours the chaplain sat and talked and the chaplain listened and gave testimony to his own life and the difficulties he had been through and tried to encourage and build the person up where he could. The person was led away by a nurse and a few minutes later the chaplain was led into a cubicle and had all manner of tests done for which he was really grateful, the result was either a trapped nerve or pulled muscle...what ever it may of been he was back up patrolling again a few days later and in no pain......
