A wise man once told me OWEN thats what he called me OWEN , money dont make you happy , you make yourself happy . As long as the lives you touch remember you for you, you did right in life. Your house is your kingdom, your truck is your chariot so Son run on over to my chariot and get granddaddy a cold beer. I will always have so many memories of one of the best granddaddys that ever walked this earth. We did it all, hunting when I killed my first buck ,fishing , fish fry, riding in the his truck in the country, shooting at Arrowhead Gun Club, trot lines, me driving at an undisclosed age, cooking out BBQ chicken, riding three wheeler through town of Chase City and got pulled over officer Mull only to be let go cause my granddaddy was Jack Owen and he knows the law as he stood there in his tennis shoes, white socks, blue shorts,plaid shirt and white cowboy hat oh and his leather gun belt and six shooter lol. Ten troopers said yes sir thats farm use. Jack Owen better known as The Jack Rabbitt was a man you could not and would not forget . If you were sad, he made you smile. If you were mad lol he made you smile then too. His late nite singing to us to his favorite tones with Hank Williams Sr always held our full attention as he yodeled along with Hank. It will be hard not to ever again hear grandma say Jack, dont tell him to do that or Jack, you alt to be ashamed of yourself lol .We love you Granddaddy, we will miss you! Give Mama and Rickey and everybody a big hug for us. May GOD wrap his arms around our family and help us through, dont worry Granddaddy , we will be ok.
