A wise statement by my son this morning : Stop looking in your small rear view mirror and start looking through the big windscreen. Awesome wisdom - we have a choice as to how we wish to perceive life - you can live stifled by perceptions and assumptions - (based on our own fears and insecurities) or you can live with freedom. You can live drawing on past experiences and learn from them for emotional growth. If we want things to change in our lives - we need to BE the catalyst for change. No change - no growth. It is as simple as that. Life need not be complicated. Get over small-mindedness and move forward with positivity and an attitude of can do. It is amazing how this changes our lives and sets us free. There is no need for limiting ourselves or being limited by someone or anything else. If our actions are for the good - then let them take root. Thank you Lord for the capacity to grow and to reach those goals we sometimes think is unattainable - thank you Lord for people who speak with kindness and with inspiration. Thank you for granting some of us the courage to write and share when it revolves around difficult issues. If we remain silent on important issues in society then we cannot bring about transparency, and solutions. I think that would be looking in the small rear view mirror and not through the big windscreen. I refer to rights, and societal values. We cannot bring about change if we continue looking back or looking at the problem. We can resolve issues when we ADDRESS them and put a plan of action into place. We need to focus on the ISSUE and address that. We need only look at past successful leaders who have made significant changes - and those ordinary people who have done the same. Yesterday we heard about a little girl being violently raped - sometimes parents turn a blind eye to these atrocities. It is so sad - life ought to be a JOY to everyone! Not misery. Lets always remain focussed on those worthy causes where we can make changes to make this world a better place. Speak out where necessary - act out where you can to bring about a positive change. Dont be side-tracked or turn a blind eye.
