A woman who covers her head is making a statement that she is a member of the Muslim community and that she follows a particular code of moral conduct. Walking down any street or through a busy mall it’s clear that society always targets women. Ads are plastered all over walls, billboards with half naked women, which confuse one as to what is actually being sold. Take a look at the women in today’s modern day society and you’ll see girls as young as twelve suffering from the ills of bulimia and anorexia. We live in a society where women are portrayed as nothing but objects used for pleasure.... When the muslim woman goes through the mall and gets beaten by a man, for choosing to cover herself, what kind of statement does that send? Do not cover yourself? Do not CHOOSE what to wear, we (the society) controls that... The resent tragic incident that happen to a muslim woman in Stockholm, makes me wonder....1 of 5 people in this world are muslims. Islam has been around for 1.400 years...You got, iphone, ipad, pc, books, mosques, and the Quran.....What is your excuse to educate yourself about Islam?
