A wonderful collection of photographs by Billy Heaney . Amazingly the Seal was out offshore in One Hundred and Fifty Seven Feet of water . The fish it has captured and is eating appears to be a Red Gurnard These are bottom dwellers !!! So consequently thats where this Atlantic Grey Seal had been hunting and feeding ,,,, Remarkable ... The Egret is a stunning photograph and the MASSIVE Trawler is a Frenchy !!!! Fishing just outside of the SIX MILE limit ... Lots of BYCATCH dead fish going over the side ... Hence all the attendant Gulls . Just seems so wasteful !!! Three Bonxie Great Skuas were also working the area along with a tiny little Storm Petrel . A fantastic Twenty One Harbour Porpoise and a small playful pod of Common Dolphins were also recorded . Giving us all some close up and personal views in the mirror calm conditions . Cameras were clicking and lots of squeals of joy were heard coming from everyone onboard . Over the two days, a fabulous Fifty One Harbour Porpoise were observed and recorded ... The numbers of cetaceans in the rich and sheltered waters of Falmouth Bay, continues to grow. These next few months leading up to December can be a cetacean soup :-) . Very exciting times ahead :-) Ospreys continue to passage migrate through the area and Kingfishers are still feeding and buzzzzing around Free Spirit in our mooring in the Docks ... Creating a bit of a wildlife Heaven :-) Thinking of you all :-) CK :-)
