A wonderful day to you ! Thank God for this new day were we can see Gods hand, feel his love and grace. Our verse for today is from Psalm 106: 1,2, 13,14 v1 Praise the Lord, Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, His love endures forever. v2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord or fully declare his praise? v13 But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his counsel. v14 In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wilderness they put God to the test. Psalm 106 contains a serious warning against dismissing God from our lives - as if that were possible. Israel took the Lords mercies for granted, and God called that rebellion (v. 7). They developed malnourished souls because they chose to ignore Him (vv. 13-15). What a lesson for us.! Some people pray only in a crisis. They have a quick fix mentality that sees God mainly as a problem solver. When merciful solutions come, He is courteously thanked, then more or less forgotten until the next crisis. There was a story Ive read,a young rich girl, accustomed to servants, who was afraid to climb a dark stairway alone. Her mother suggested that she overcome her fear by asking Jesus to go with her up the stairs. When the child reached the top, she was overheard saying, Thank you, Jesus. You may go now. We may smile at the story, yes you anticipate great things from God, but dont expect Him to come right away when you summoned. But instead subject yourself to God and call, eager to fulfill His will. Like the little rich girl, ask God to accompany you through lifes dark passageways. But instead of dismissing Him when your special needs are met, cling to Him as if your life depended on it. Well, it really does. Prayer: Thank you for today, thank you for your word. I praise you, I declare your blessings but most of the time Ive lost memories of your goodness easily complain when crisis come, forgive me Lord. Help me to remember your faithfulness and see your goodness today , be grateful and hopeful when troubles come. In Jesus name I pray, Amen Have a grateful and hopeful day brothers and sisters.
