A wonderful update via our Vice President of Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Services, Karen Booth: CARF was at Humanim this week to conduct a supplemental survey of our Health Homes program. This program integrates primary healthcare with behavioral healthcare. The survey concluded with no recommendation and no consultations. Humanim is the first agency providing Health Homes in the state of Maryland to gain this supplemental accreditation. The surveyor commented that this is a wonderful program and that the professional staff (our nurses) were a testament to why the program is so successful. Most importantly, the clients that were interviewed were able to clearly show what a positive impact this program is having on their lives – and at the end of the day, THAT is what it is all about.
