A wonderful veterinarian story with a happy ending. My dog Chancho was being taken care of for 4 months when I was in the states. When I returned she had a huge lump on her back with blood and puss all over it (gross) She was in Manuel Antonio when I picked her up and took her to the vet, the vet started counting her money talking about biopsy and blood test and stay for 3 day. Maybe an operation but I could count on thousands of dollars. I decided to put here in the truck and come back to Coco and see what we could do up here. We went to a few people with similar results until I found Dra Leon from Amigos Felices Veterinaria , it felt like home. Such a nice and gentle person who took the time to explain to me what she wanted to do not just what the cost was. I was thrilled but expecting to come back Monday, Not a chance, she made room for us that day and stayed late. Bye 5 that day Chancho was all finished looking and feeling great, had major operation and cut the huge lump off of her. We all love our animals and so great to find a Vet that does not take advantage of that. My bill about $80 included some meds. Plus we both got a big hug when we left, needless to sat I we have found a new vet and a new friend here in Coco.
