A wonderful way to put lifes problems in perspective... Most people find the universe mind-bogglingly big. But its also mind-bogglingly SMALL. After checking out the galactic scale, check out the Planck length (1.6162 × 10^−35 metres). Its the smallest POSSIBLE distance and a VERY weird scale. Things pop in and out of existence because nobody can get down there to tell them not to. Also, if you try to go smaller it just looks at you and says Dont be absurd. Ive no idea what you mean. To put it in perspective, if a 0.1mm dot were inflated to the size of the observable universe (93 billion light years across) then the Planck length would be inflated to the size of a 0.1mm dot. Put another way, a 0.1mm dot is roughly halfway between the Planck length and the size of the observable universe. Which means (roughly speaking) we’re on the same relative scale as a 0.1mm dot. Which is absurd :D
