A woodpigeon has been delivered to the hospital this morning, by a very kind lady. The poor pigeon was struck by a car in Polegate, unfortunately the motorist didnt stop to check the bird, who was still alive. The lady rushed over to the stunned bird and tried to slow an approaching car, but the motorist, who may not have seen the bird, carried on and the bird was hit for the second time. Sadly the injuries and the shock were just to much and he quietly passed away.
