A word like sickening is not enough to describe how our politicians cling to anything to get election mileage. Even an extremely serious issue like the rape of a photojournalist in Mumbai is fodder for this lot. Instead of doing their jobs, they hold everybody to ransom in the name of justice. But where is the justice? Just holding up that now mockery of a place called parliament or shouting anti-government slogans is not seeking justice. This is the time to close ranks and fight this menace called rape. But... That poor girl will lie in hospital, shamed, sick and confused. The political circus will roll on. Nothing will happen. This menace of rape has to be wiped out. The citizens of this country have to do something about it. We need to wake up and fight this in a united manner and those with selfish interests be damned.
