A word of caution for those motorists on the roads this year. There seems to be an abudance of very fast turtles crossing the roads. They have been seen darting in and out of traffic with their very short and compact legs. Cars are having a hell of a time avoiding them due to their fast speed and irrational behaviour. They are known to dart back and forth across lanes like a rabbit. This is very strange behaviour i no for a turtle but it must a new variety of lightening turtle out their because they are getting hit even on the shoulders of the road. How else can one explain this phenominum. Now I dont believe they have huge camaflague technics or the capabilities of turning invisible but you never no with this new breed of turtle. I am going to suggest to the animal control people that they may want to provide the turtles with little orange flags so when they see a car approaching they can wave it ficiously to get the motorists attention. Snapping turtles are becoming extinct due to people running them over. Quit running over the turtles on purpose. What the hell is wrong with people
