A word that kills. On feral cat day (Oct 16) lets remember that the word shy, confused, lost, frightened, scared, unsocial, unfortunate, homeless, stray and many others are words we all relate to. Much better choices when describing these poor things. These cats behind this door are the luckless, half were pets....stuck between abandonment and bad luck. The other half werent fortunate enough to be handled in the first few months of their life. As fate would have it....they carry with them for all their life a world of wanting, hurting, hiding and trying the best they can to fit into a world that isnt for them. Instead of a couch and fish and cream they get world of shadows, darkness, trash, death, and newborns, confusion, hunger, changes and fear. Please if you see a stray, a shy cat....they deserve a hand. And those that find themselves behind this door are not coming out. A one way door for nearly everyone that comes in. Today they say is for them. Feral cat day. Today.
