A word to my friends, the Seventh-day Adventists. Mark my words! An event in the USA, briefly summarized here: The nomination of a woman to an executive leadership position by: The Southeastern California Conference (SECC) has nominated Sandra Roberts to serve as president of that conference is to have that shaking of which the SDAs have been speaking, preaching and writing since the inception of this church/denomination. My wife and I have already been shaken out, but it is with trepidation that we, as spectators are following and participating in the deluge of words which shows no signs of abating. So far I know that David Peckham, who placed the first posting, and others such as Michael M Sparrow, Patrick Stevenson and I as an outsider but who is equally concerned, are participants in this hot debate. I am now calling upon others such as Gideon Pelser to take note. The Church will never be the same after this.
