A word to the wise. When u have a loved one in the hospital and you know something is not right follow your instincts. This is 2nd time on 3 years I have gone through this. The first time 3 1/2 years ago following my mothers heart surgery when the staff of St Francis did not believe me that something was mentally wrong because she could answer those 5 all important questions right. When I finally insisted on an MRI I was correct she had a stroke and today @ south Nassau where she has been since Thursday being treated for a blood infection it was the same story. Myself my daughter and my cousin Vinny Orsi were all arguing with the staff and again they refused to take action because she could answer those questions finally they listened and again we were correct. Acute metabolic encephalitis AKA swelling of the brain due to the sepsis. Moral of the story if u think something is wrong it probably is
