A year ago I had no reason at all to suspect that 2014 might be any different from any other...Her Majesty used the phrase annus horribilis to describe one particular year in her own life...and, while I have always tried to be as positive as my (mental) health has allowed, successive years for quite a number since about 2006 have been difficult for me for many reasons. But God had plans to make 2014 something special for me...and once I let Him (!) He has gladly rained down the blessings more as the year went on. My boys are all well and succeeding at school, uni and in employment and, thanks to the blessing of LOVE, there has been some healing of spirit and much happiness as 2014 has progressed. Its not my place here to speculate or announce any hopes and dreams for 2015 here in a NYE Facebook posting but Im thanking God tonight for Morgan, Fiona and Owen, Lewis, Ieuan, mum Jean (and Trixie the Westie), Ruthy and family, Eira and family and all my other friends and relatives who are always there when needed most. And, of course, a massive thank you, hugs and kisses to Sarah Andrews-Page, who has given this sad, middle aged troubador a new lease of life, a smile both on my face AND in my heart and the prospect of an even better (if possible!) 2015... ...and do you know how many New Years Eves Ive been waiting and dreaming to post a close of year message like that?
