A year ago, I lost my restaurant job because the company suddenly closed leaving dozens of people without work (in the dead of winter nonetheless.) It was the 2nd one I lost that YEAR for the same reason. After 10 years of slaving away for multiple companies in an industry that made me utterly miserable, while not being able to devote any time to the fields which made me feel truly alive fulfilled... I decided that was a sign I needed to finally take the plunge and pursue my own ambitions. Since then, PlusPlus ++ has soared, Im about be published for the first time in a book featuring my illustrations, and I have gotten to know myself better than ever before. It has been tough, it has been TERRIFYING, frustrating and even depressing, I have often needed help from others which made me feel lost and ashamed... but Ive realized the more that I shed such feelings of fear, the faster I come up with new solutions and and more plentiful the opportunities pour in! I havent not worked in a crappy job since, and I truly hope I never have to again... or at least hold out til I find something appropriate for what Im worth. My self esteem and motivation are at an all time time high, and I have a good feeling something even greater is gonna come along soon if I stay true to my calling and keep focused :) Either way, my life is rich and I truly am blessed. I have no doubt its gonna be a great New Year! In conclusion: Yes sometimes you gotta Do what you need to do, but that NEVER needs to be something that makes you unhappy. No excuse! We still live in a free country (comparatively) and despite what youve been told, we are not put on this earth to be miserable. Dont be afraid to cut your chain, the universe rewards those who are brave
