A year ago today Camille had her first of 7 grand mal seizures, it was the first day that the word epilepsy was mentioned to us and the day that honestly changed us all for life. It began one of the scariest, most horrific and terrifying journeys that we as a family have ever had to face. Staring at your child thinking you might lose them and not knowing what to do is the THE worst thing that I am sure I will ever face. But.....today, today I am so thankful for my lovely lovely girl and how brave and strong and awesome she is - I am so thankful for my family & friends who provided support, love, cried with me and brought me wine and chocolates xoxoxoxox. I am thankful for her medication and that it is working SO well and that Camille is able to carry on with all the things that she loves to do - namely gymnastics. Day by day and now coming up to 7 months seizure free we are starting to feel a little braver, and that we can breathe a little easier......heres to a better year. xoxoxoxoxox
