A year ago yesterday (September 1, 2013), around 4:15pm on a hot Sunday afternoon, the world experienced the transition of one of sweetest, sternest, bossiest, kindest, warm-hearted, and loving beings to walk upon the planet. I may not have realized it as a child/teenager, but hindsight is 20/20, cause one realizes just how much a person has given them, beyond the materialistic items, but the other qualities that grow within our beings and makes us who we are to ourselves and the world. I have missed her every single day that she has been gone, and think of her often, but I understand and feel that her transition was something that was needed for her evolution, and it would only be selfish of me to want to have had her here struggling in pain. For all that she imparted within me, I have to be thankful for all the lifes lessons, even though I didnt follow some of them at the time she was teaching them, I realized how important everything she instilled in me and displayed to me is. It can be hard when you just want to hear her voice again, wished you could hear her whistle again, or hear her singing speaking voice when she was naggin you. R.I.P. - Albertha M. Gray 1951-2013, you will be forever loved and missed by me, your family, and the community. The loss of you and your presence has left an open void that will be very hard to fill...
