A yearn for Peace in South Sudan Peace! Peace! Peace! Peace! We cried for you, we prayed for you and some of us died for you and finally you responded on our independence eve! Peace! We opened our arms and our hearts to receive you! Peace! We yelled, we ululated, we shed tears of happiness, and we danced on your arrival! Peace! Where are you now? Peace! Why did you leave us too soon? Peace! When will you come to visit us again in South Sudan and stay with us permanently? Peace! We know your enemies, we know those who perpetuate hatred against you and we know your assassins/killers! Peace! We know your assassins/killers are those who thirst for power, thirst for money and wealth at your expense and at the expense of the South Sudanese! Peace! Your disappearance left many of us displaced, many of us dead, many of us without property, many of us without shelter, many of us without medication and many of us without food. Peace! Your disappearance left untold suffering and despair in us as many of our sisters, daughters and daughters are exposed to gruesome rapes, killings! Peace! Your sadden disappearance left many of our children languishing in the jungles of South Sudan without education, without medication, without clean drinking water and above all without parental love! Peace! Sincerely where are you? Peace! When are you returning to our beautiful country Sound Sudan! Peace! May you forgive your assassins/killers and give us the second chance to experience you again? Peace! May your plotters come to their senses about the worth of your existence as supreme to all human greed and lust for power and wealth, and may they learn how to settle difference in more peaceful manner and in a peaceful environment?
