A young woman is waiting for her flight to board at a large airport. In order for the time to go by a bit more quickly, she decides to buy a book and a small pack of cookies. She takes a seat in the VIP waiting area so that nobody bothers her. Next to her is a small table with the pack of cookies, and next to that sits a man reading a newspaper. When shes about to take a cookie, the man takes one. Shes shocked but doesnt say anything and continues to read her book. She thinks to herself, Wow, look at this. If I were a bit braver, I would have hit him by now. Every time she takes a cookie, the man, not caring at all, also takes one. This continues until there is only one cookie left, and the girl thinks I wonder whatll happen now! The man takes the last one and divides it in two! This is really too much she begins to say, shocked, and grabs her things and makes her way towards the exit of the waiting area. When she feels a bit better, after the anger has passed, she sits down at an empty place to avoid having another uncomfortable encounter. She closes her book and opens her purse to throw it in...and in that moment sees the package of cookies she had bought, unopened. Ashamed and feeling like a thief, she finally got that the cookies were not hers, but that they belonged to the man sitting next to her, who had calmly offered to share his last cookie with her, totally unlike her, who was hurt by her own pride and feelings. Conclusion: How many times in our lives will we or have we eaten someone elses cookie, but didnt know it? Before drawing a quick conclusion or thinking something bad, LOOK at the details carefully. Very often the situation isnt the way it looks at first glance! In life there are 5 things that you cant get back: A stone once its been thrown. A word after its been spoken. An opportunity after its been lost. Time which has passed. Love which was not fought for.
