A young woman on the move! Sandy and I were thrilled to watch Lindy in action this past week or so. Being so far away, we only get to see her every few months. She has made a quantum leap in her teaching and coaching skills. We were able to see a little of everything. Lindy taught individual lessons, junior clinics and even helped assist teach and coach with world class putting instructor, Mike Shannon. I was able to visit with Mike afterwards. He loves her energy and especially, her questions at the end of any lesson she observes. Mike is just one of four, Golf Digest Top 50 Instructors at Sea Island that Lindy spends time with. Jack Lumpkin, Todd Anderson and Gail Peterson are the other 3 top rated instructors. She enjoys watching her grandfather teach. Jack has a wealth of knowledge and experience. She often asks him to go to lunch so she can pick his brain. And, BTW, he is feeling better and getting stronger every day. Lindy also enjoys working with the fitness, club fitting and psychology professionals on staff. There is also another professional on staff that can give a clinic on customer service....her uncle, Eric Smith. It is quite a team. In the evenings, she wants to talk more with Sandy and I on how she can improve. I may be biased, but I think she is going to be a good one!
