A320 First Officers, Captains and TRIs at Al Maha Airways, an all new airline in Saudi Arabia! About Your Job: Al Maha Airways is an independent Saudi Arabian airline that will start operations in December of 2014, based in Jeddah, KSA. Its association with Qatar Airways stems from Qatar Airways being one of the shareholders and Akbar Al Baker, the Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, is the Chairman of Al Maha Airways.The fleet type will be Airbus A320-216 with CFMI engines, being delivered new from Airbus commencing in December 2014 and growing to eight aircraft by December 2015. The medium term growth is to grow the fleet to thirty aircraft by the end of 2017.The initial route network will be in domestic KSA, but quickly going to be a regional operation. The route will initially include Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam. Al Maha Airways have engaged Qatar Airways to provide recruitment services on its behalf. You will be based in our Jeddah hub where you and your family can experience an exceptional expatriate lifestyle where the sun always shines and the beaches of the Red Sea beckon! Only a 6 hour flight from Europe, the sub continent and North Africa, Jeddah is a great centrally located hub to explore and experience many new places and cultures. Captains: - Current or previous GACA ATP licence (will be a significant advantage) or alternatively a current FAA/EU-OPS/ ICAO ATPL, in that order. - Current Valid instrument rating. - A course completion certificate on an Airbus A320 aircraft. - Have flown the aircraft type in the previous 12 months. - Have a minimum of 4,000 flying hours in total on heavy jets (over 50 tonnes) - Have a minimum of 1,000 hours in command on heavy jet including 500 hours on A320. - Previous training experience, in any category, will be an advantage. First Officers: - Current or previous GACA ATP licence (will be a significant advantage) or current FAA/EU-OPS/ ICAO ATPL. - Current Valid instrument rating. - A course completion certificate on an Airbus A320 aircraft. - Have flown the aircraft type in the previous 12 months. - Have a minimum of 1,500 hours total time. - Have 250 hours on A320 family type aircraft. - Instructor experience, an advantage. TRIs: - Current or previous GACA ATP licence (will be a significant advantage) or current FAA/EU-OPS/ ICAO ATPL. - Current Valid instrument rating. - A course completion certificate on an Airbus A320 aircraft. - Have flown the A320 type in the previous 12 months. - Hold or have held an A320 Designated Examiner or Check Airman/Pilot approval under FAR/GACAR 121, or EU-OPS TRE /TRI or similar in the previous three years. - Have 5000 hours total, of which 1000 must be on the A320 - Completed an approved Core Course or Train the Trainer course - English language proficiency level 4 or above.
