A432 tuning The philosophers’ Music of the Spheres is alleged to be in tune with the universe, harmonized with the Earth’s rotation, the size and movement of the celestial bodies, the speed of light and the human ‘light body’. It is healing for humans and does not damage the vocal chords, just as rhythmic dancing is energising not tiring. Pythagoras proposed that the Sun, Moon and planets all emit their own unique tone, and that the quality of life on Earth reflects the celestial sounds which are physically imperceptible to the human ear. Plato described astronomy and music as twinned studies of sensual perception. It may be that this astronomy music is equally spatially experienced and heard. The same region of the brain processes maths and music. This music is believed to be that based on A being 432 Hz not the modern 440 Hz. It has been attacked and outlawed by Christians throughout history. The early Catholic church forbade natural time keeping by the sun, moon and stars and enforced their calendar. The Christians damaged beyond use most of the standing stone circles in Britain and Brittany, and destroyed the stone Norse weoh calendars. Modern astrophysics theory indicates that the universe is essentially vibrational in nature. Research into the effects of sound on humans reveals that different sound wave types have profoundly different effects on mood and behaviour. The 440 Hz pitch is thought to generate anti-social behaviour and dis-ease. The medieval church used a standard pitch of 440 Hz and this was strongly advocated by Hitler and Goebbels to instill aggression and confusion in society, and was adopted by Britain from 1953. 432 Hz tuning made a come back in the 1970s, used by Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Neil Young, Kurt Cobain and Metallica to name but a few. It is becoming increasingly used world wide.
