Still, the Rockies couldnt catch the Yankees. Nathan Shaffer got the win for the Yankees. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out seven, walked four and surrendered no hits. The Yankees were sparked by Emilio Sanchez and Nathan, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs. Titan Malliarodakis was the games losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked five and struck out four. Yankees closer Daniel Smith put away the final two outs to record the save.
