AAP News in The Hindu on 19th Sept 2014 The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) observers will visit four districts of Andhra Pradesh to reach out to masses, as part of the nation-wide programme ‘Mission Vistaar’ launched by the party to identify supporters and take them into its fold. A two-member team comprising Hariharan from the Karnataka unit of the AAP and Srivatsa, executive member from Mumbai, will visit Andhra Pradesh on September 21 and 22. Ramakrishnam Raju, the party’s AP convenor and observer for Tamil Nadu. Explaining about the ‘Mission Vistaar’ campaign, Mr. Raju said it aims at reaching out to the people who share the ideology of the AAP and are eager to play a meaningful role in nation-building exercise. “We want to integrate the change-makers with the party by providing opportunities to them to take up responsibilities,” he said. The party is also keen on evolving a meaningful and effective two-way communication system among volunteers and between various levels of party organisation through this campaign and facilitate the process of political education and leadership-building among those who join the party. “We want to play the role of a catalyst of change through a bottom-up democratic process,” he said.
