AAP is not about Arvind Kejriwal. He will not come to save Axom, or to make Axom a better place. It is not possible physically even he wants to. We have to do it ourselves. AAP is just a platform. We have to come together and select the best honest people to run the state. Axom is going through a crisis and there is a lack of good honest efficient leaders. AAP is just a platform where everybody is welcome and the best guy will become the leader. AAP will not select leaders. The work of the volunteers will automatically give us leaders. These honest leaders will build rupohi axom. For instance, on taxes and related rules, he says Governance is the biggest obstacle to business today in the country. I have got first hand proof of that when I came back to Duliajan after 16 years in Mumbai. I wanted to start an honest tax paid business.. People laughed when I said I want to pay sales tax honestly. Consultants told me I wont work with you if you are honest. I dont blame them because it is their bread and butter. It is common knowledge that the sales tax department is corrupt and everything has a fixed rate. The inspector takes 1000/-, the commissioner takes 1000/- etc. Even the office peon takes 500/- for a CST registration. If a consultant brings an honest tax payer, they will of course ban him. People are telling me that if I dont pay and somehow manage to get the CST registration without paying bribe, then later on I will face hurdles in getting delivery notes, C Forms, Assessments etc. Now who will change this mess? AK will not come. Manish wont come. We have to, at a local level, get together and stop this mess. We have to devote time out of our busy schedules to help our motherland Axom. We have to bring hope. We have to bring progress. We have to be gaurdians. We have to build Rupohi Axom.
