AAP should definitely be given a chance in Delhi 2013 Elections in - TopicsExpress

AAP should definitely be given a chance in Delhi 2013 Elections in December. Why? 1. They show a lot of promise and bring a fresh approach. 2. They appear honest. 3. They do not act like Politicians are big shots, but a representative of common man. This is what it was always meant to be. We do not have representatives now, we have rulers. 4. There is a lot of doubt, if they will be to make any real difference. They have proven they can, the next step is to see for real. 5. No other party is worth giving a chance in Delhi 2013 elections. The fight is between Congress, BJP and AAP. Most are opposing Congress, so I will not debate about it. People are divided between BJP and AAP. 1. AAP appears to be clean and honest, but lacks experience. BJP is corrupt (maybe less than Congress), but have experience. 2. With the current economy, we need a government which is focused on getting the economy up and provide respite. We need experienced hands at this stage. 3. Arvind appears to be opportunist and not really a person who can be trusted. So we trust BJP. My arguments to the above are as follows: 1. The role of the government in Delhi is not really going to make a lot of impact in the national politics. The national politics is different and Delhi politics is different. 2. The role of the state government is primarily to improve the basics like infra, health, education, security, etc. This can be done more efficiently by removing corruption from most of the process. Let us not confuse between national politics and state level politics. 3. Delhi state elections will give us just the right testing bed for AAP to prove its claims and promises. If they can show any distint change in corruption, it will distill down to other places also, which is a good thing. 4. The downside is limited. With national elections in April-May 2014, we can go back to BJP vs Congress debate. Delhis state is perhaps the best state to test our concerns and have our points proven. 5. If we do not do this now, we may never get to see the benefits of an alternative, or will be too late to check it. This might be a great opportunity to test many things out. 6. Arvind Kejriwal is probably the smartest politician, and it is probably the best thing. Something like Dhoni of Indian Cricket team. Master strategist, great team player, and gets the best of the people. We need a leader like him. He need not have to do everything himself, but he is great in strategy, and that is very much needed at this stage. # Indians should thank their stars that a guy like kejriwal has shown up.If AAP doesnt succeed in Delhi, the failure would be collectively OURS more than theirs!
