ABCs Nashville in limbo..last minute hangup on budget hole created by lack of tax incentives... nashville business journal survey: Of 843 votes cast in the poll, heres how the results broke down: - 12 percent of readers answered no, saying “it’s a waste of taxpayer dollars.” - Forty-three percent of readers said yes, because “the local filming is a boon for our economy.” - Nearly as many, 32 percent, said “yes, because it’s what makes the show authentic.” - And, 13 percent said no, “we get publicity whether or not its filmed here.” “I have many friends that work on the show. It benefits a lot of local people,” Eric Gordon wrote in response to our poll. “If ABC cant afford it then they shouldnt be filming it. I work downtown and I have NOT seen that big of an impact in tourism from the show,” wrote Terri Robison.
