ABIA-STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION 2015...CHIEF EMEKA WOGU .THE MAN TO BEAT.... UMUAHIA—AHEAD OF 2015, 12 traditional rulers from Aba South Local Government Area of Abia State have called on Chief Emeka Wogu, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, to resign his appointment and join the governorship race. The royal fathers spoke when they visited the Minister in his Aba home and urged him to join the race, saying “you are eminently qualified”. Speaking on behalf of the royal fathers, Eze I Nnakwu, extolled the humility and leadership qualities of Wogu, noting that with such qualities, he would make a good governor. According to the royal fathers , Wogu has the political experience and cool headedness to take Abia to greater height. They said that they were further bolstered and buoyed by the decision of the party in the state to zone the office to Abia South zone in 2015, a decision they described as a mark of respect for “equity and justice”. The traditional rulers also commended him for touching many lives in the state through his Wogu Emeka Educational Foundation, which already boasted of over 75 undergraduate beneficiaries as well as empowerment programme, especially the youths.
