ABOUT KALOS CHRISTIAN CHURCH (KCC) Kalos Christian Church is a ministry of the Spirit with a vision of Bringing believers to the knowledge of the truth, and taking the message of Christ’s love to the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. “Kalos” is a Greek word which means, beautiful, excellent, eminent, choice, surpassing, precious, useful, and excellent in nature and character, admirable, beautiful to look at, handsome, shapely and magnificent. It defines who we are, what we have, and whose we are. Our motto is, bringing beauty to your world, and our mission is win, build and send: win the lost at any cost, build them at any cost, and send them out to do the same. KCC is a ground and pillar of truth. It is a place of beauty where everyone is somebody and Jesus is Lord. A vision is simply a picture of your mission and where you are going or what you plan to achieve. It is the imagery of the truth. One who is called to take the truth to others must have a vision of the truth, know it, and understand it and what it can do; and must be able to communicate it to His followers until it becomes their vision too.(A leader who hasn’t communicated his vision to his followers will have it tough leading them.) When somebody sends you for an errand you need to understand what he has sent you to do or else you will do what he didn’t tell you. That is why it is very imperative that we grasp and grab hold of the picture that God has set before us. To not understand the vision is the same as not having it at all; and the Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”(Proverbs 29:18) A leader without a vision gallops in the dark and at his best, can only lead others into the ditch and perish with them. But we are not like that, we have the ability to see and understand what we see; we have spiritual perception granted us by the Holy Spirit who abides in us. When God spoke to Habakkuk and gave him a vision, He said to him “…write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readeth it.” (Habakkuk 2:2) There are three principles that I want to share with you from this verse. And these are, 1. Write the vision down: Don’t forget it; don’t lose sight of it; contemplate (meditate, ponder on) it until it becomes an integral part of you, write it and fasten it to a place where you can see it every day. 2. Make it plain: make it simple, understand every facet and detail of it; understand what it means to God, to the Church, to you and to the world. 3. That he may run that readeth: communicate it to others, let them read it, hear it, sing it, and run into action. To catch and run with this vision you must catch its: a. Concept. Abraham had the concept of being the blessed man who was going to bless others (Genesis 12:1-4). You must have the concept of being the man/woman of the truth (God’s reality –word, John 17:17) who is going to educate believers with the truth; and the man/woman who has received, believed, and experienced the Gospel of Christ and now is going to take it to others not by his/her own ability but by the ability and energy of the Spirit of God. You must have the concept of being the helped helping others and not the helpless needing help; the well healing the sick, and not the sick seeking healing; the rich helping the poor and not the poor needing help from the rich; the saved saving others, and not the lost needing salvation; the victor bringing others to a place of victory, and not otherwise. The children of the poor and the children of the rich and wealthy don’t think alike. Your reasoning should be in synch with the vision of the ministry. You should reason differently from the world (Romans 12:2) and those who are not members of this great ministry. Don’t think failure, don’t think fear, poverty or defeat – they are inconsistent with our life and nature. Renew your mind with the word. We must have one vision, be of the same mind, and say the same things: 1Corinthians 1:10: “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” Philippians 1:27: “Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel” Romans 15:6: “That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Genesis 11:6, NIV: “The LORD said, “If one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible to them” b. Ideology. An ideology is a way of thinking. As an individual an ideology is a way of thinking that controls the way you do things. In KCC there is consistency. We have a message which has delivered to us a way of life based on the vision of the Spirit for us who are in Christ. c. Globalism. You must always insure that you are extending your influence. This is where globalism comes into play. Globalism is the policy of establishing your influence beyond borders. The materials to get this done are readily available. God’s word is our material. We ought to influence our nation or state with the word of God. Real leaders are not influenced by their surroundings, they influence their surroundings; they are not influenced by society, they influence their society. The vision of the ministry is global. Therefore, you must pray, think, plan and act like a leader of a global ministry. Your influence must go beyond boarders. d. Urgency. What we have is the most important thing in the world. The world either wants it or needs it. And we haven’t got enough time to share it with them – the Master is coming anytime from now. We must live each day as though it is our last. We must preach the Gospel as though we are the only ones on earth it was committed to. We must put our best into the Gospel and move with speed because the time is short. Live as though each day were the last day before the Lord Jesus returns. AT THE LEADERS TRAINING PROGRAM (LTP) WITH PASTOR JACK
