ABOUT US The Association of Canadian Entrepreneurs (A.C.E.) is presently a Non-Profit, Unincorporated Association which has its roots from a Vision that dates back to 2004. At that time, this was an amorphous Group of Entrepreneurial Individuals who had amassed many decades of professional experience in the Business Development & Mentorship field, but had not formalized their relationship into the entity that it has become today. The idea was to transfer this wealth of knowledge & experience to a “template” that was designed to provide the necessities of life that small businesses in Canada were severely lacking. This shortfall of Marketing & Management expertise, was directly responsible for the abhorrent survival numbers associated with developing businesses in this country; however, there was a severe lack of effective infrastructure in place to address this growing problem. “ACE” is the evolving solution, whereby Small Canadian businesses would be afforded the opportunity to build this functional, customized “template” for their endeavor with the assistance of a Team of Experts. This “Support System” would then facilitate the infusion of the “3-M’s” - Marketing, Management & Money – which have become the most difficult, yet critical triad to amass for the small businessperson. By becoming a “Member” of the Association of Canadian Entrepreneurs, an individual can unlock the resources that are desperately needed in order to develop into a thriving & successful enterprise. The Group serves as a Nexus of Information, Support & Opportunity for the Entrepreneur, by connecting an individual to the people & entities that can furnish those desperately needed intellectual or capital requirements in a timely and non-invasive manner. “ACE” is the industry equivalent of an “Entrepreneurial Introduction Service,”connecting “Joint Venture Businesses” with “Joint Venture Partners,” through Contractual (CJV) relationships that bring together all of the elements necessary to support and develop Canadian Small Businesses. This particular arrangement is achieved through a proprietary Program known as the InQb8 Business Development System ™ A decade ago, it became painfully apparent that Small Business was fast becoming a playground for unscrupulous Lenders and opportunistic Venture Capitalists (VCs). These businesses were in their most sensitive stages of maturation, while at the same time were being overburdened with high interest loan payments. The Entrepreneur was constantly at a crossroads between the expensive monthly debt of a Lending facility and the loss of control and ownership with a VC relationship, While the latter was attractive from theperspective that it was not as strenuous on daily cash-flow, the reality for the Entrepreneur was that the majority ownership & control of the company was forfeited by the second round of financing! It was very apparent that the largest employer of Canadians – small business – was in peril because of these factors. Unless an alternative was provided, the cornerstone of Canadian employment , which employs over 70% of the country’s population, would continue to fall victim to a remarkable failure rate. Present Stats-Can figures state that there are approximately 146,000 new business start-ups each year, meanwhile 138,000 existing businesses are filing for Bankruptcy. This Agency also informs us that a typical “start-up” in a competitive industry will have an average lifespan of around only 2.9 years. This is an unnecessary, but recurring reality, which is fuelled by poor planning, management, marketing strategies combined with a lack of sufficient funding to clear the initial hurdles associated with early-stage businesses. Enter, The Association of Canadian Entrepreneurs. This is precisely what Membership is designed to address, only with you REMAINING at the helm!
