We will form a majority government. 2.With Jammu and Kashmir delivering a splintered verdict, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti today said that it will take time to form a government to provide good governance.Mehbooba said that while she was happy the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had become the single largest group in the 87-member assembly, the outcome was not to her expectation. 3.Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hailed BJP workers in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand, saying the results of Assembly polls in these states were an outcome of their hard work and selfless dedication.Referring to Jammu and Kashmir, he said the record turnout in the polls there showed peoples faith in democracy. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for placing their confidence in BJP. 4.The Winter session of Parliament, that saw a mix of storm and business, came to a close today after passing a number of legislations but some key reform bills, including those on insurance and coal block allocations, remained pending.During the month-long session, the Lok Sabha passed a record number of 18 legislations, including amendment bills on coal mines allocation and labour laws, in 22 sittings. The House lost almost three hours due to disruptions and adjournments. 5.Two unidentified bike-borne assailants threw acid on a 30-year-old woman doctor here this morning in West Delhis Rajouri Garden area.According to the police, the incident took place around 9:30 AM in Rajouri Garden market when the woman had left home and was on her way to a hospital where she worked in the same area.
