ABSOLUTE FAITH I heard a pastor on the radio say that we can live in fear or we can live in love. We cannot live both ways simultaneously and expect a truly happy outcome of our lives. And that what allows us to live in love even when we feel completely justified to live in fear is by stepping out into FAITH - believing in things unseen. It requires seeing beyond the old painful memories; rejecting - the reality of our choices or circumstances we MUST design our lives around, the cup being half empty, the toxic words said to us or by us, rationalizing our dishonorable, selfish and cruel behavior towards others, the constant need to seek perfection and acceptance and control every aspect of our lives to insure this. His reasoning for this? We are already perfect and our time is not to be spent living in a state of fear - an illusion that even our bodies tell us it is only natural to respond in this way - fight or flight. And that is why it is so easy to live in fear. Everyone tells us it is only human nature to be afraid, worried, realistic to focus on the what ifs and not to trust people because we know better and many of those we were once close to have made their beds and now need to lie in it. Separating ourselves, judging others, and creating walls of fear to protect our lives and best interests. The net result is many of us lay awake at night because there is always that sword hanging over our heads with our pillow feeling like a chopping block and we feel alone, anxious, terrified and desperate. That is not living. That is basically waiting for death to come and put you out of your misery. That is rejecting and eventually killing all of the wonderful gifts you embody. That is never fully being your authentic perfect YOU and allowing others around you to be the same. And it blocks you from accepting into your heart the statement many accomplished people have said, With God, all things are possible. I knew a British man who was raised in South Africa and sailed to distant parts of the world in a small sailboat that everyone said he would die in for sure. He took the trip anyway and endured storms that should have ripped his boat to shreds. I asked him why he took this trip. He had a very simple answer for me, Because I knew I could. He explained that he desired to take this trip and it kept him up at night, restless and afraid of the what ifs and the insanity of it all. But he knew It was HIS path to take. And he finally decided to move from fear and into love. He knew God was with him, God loved him and God would see him through it. He knew he could do what was logically impossible and a guaranteed ticket to death. In the end he witnessed God do the impossible during the storms he encountered and lived to tell about. His FAITH never wavered and he had no fear. He completely trusted in the outcome. Ask for what you desire most for yourself. Go boldly to Him and let him know you mean business. But you cannot ask and then go and try to control the design and manipulate people to help you get your desired outcome. You must leave it at his doorstep - have faith in God and believe his desire is to help you succeed. There is so much that is beyond our comprehension and because of how we are programmed we have to control our outcomes. Try to stop holding onto the steering wheel so tightly that your fingers become stiff and your knuckles are white. If you take all the control away from God you could end up down a road that may not be what was best suited for you or in most cases you will find your path a lot harder, pushing HARD to get results FAST - always needing it immediately - like instant oatmeal. And missing the entire point. Faith requires a deep sense of awareness and true desire to surrender ones own thoughts and worries to something higher - pondering and asking for guidance and assistance. And letting go of FEAR and replacing it with LOVE. It is easier said than done. Try to step out into faith and ask God to show you the way, open up doors, close others and send you the challenges and lessons you may need to first go through to get what you are seeking - since he knows your perfect plan. If you bet on faith instead of fear you will witness miracles. And you will come through the stormy waters with only love in your heart, a smile on your face, and miracles to talk about. Absolute faith that everything is going to be alright.
