ABUNDANT HARVESTPaul Dhinakaran Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. (2 Corinthians 9:10) Dearly beloved, Every man in this world, as long as he lives, has to do the task of sowing and reaping what he has sown. Genesis 3:19 says that every man in this world, all the days of his life, should sweat and toil for his survival. This is God’s plan! The Bible tells us that God Himself gives us the seed to sow (2 Corinthians 9:10; Isaiah 55:10). He not only gives us the seed but also sunlight, and makes the seed to grow (Matthew 5:45; 1 Corinthians 3:7,8). So when we sow the seed that God gives us, and sweat and toil, He makes it to grow. In this plan of God, there is another commandment too. Proverbs 20:4 says, “A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing.” A reputed company was ever under strike. Because of this, it was going on loss. A new manager was employed at this juncture. He looked at the state of the company and issued an order. It said, “All should report for work at 10 A.M. If any person comes late even by a minute, he will be marked absent.” Once this order was implemented, the strike too ended. Yes! The one who doesn’t sow will never reap. The one who never sweats and toils will never be blessed. Genesis 26:12,13 says, “Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.” Dearly beloved! When we toil in this world, God will bless the work of our hands and multiply it in manifold measure. Trust in His abundant provision. He will richly bless you and supply all your needs. He will bless you beyond measure. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I trust in your abundant provision. Help me to do my work with all diligence to earn my living. Bless the work of my hands and multiply it in manifold measure. Supply all my needs richly. Enable me to reap a hundredfold blessing. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
