ACCIDENT - UMHLANGA ROCKS DRIVE Tonight at about 20:15 Marshall Security emergency call centre received multiple calls for an accident that occurred on Umhlanga Rocks Drive between Sunningdale and Somerset robots, vehicles and emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival our officers found 2 vehicles involved in a head on collision, one vehicle a GWM was on its side with front damage and the occupants had got out of the vehicle with minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle a VW Golf sustained serious lacerations to the face and a broken leg, paramedics worked to get him out of the vehicle. It is alleged by witnesses that the Golf was traveling north and lost control around the corner and veered into the oncoming lane and it head on into the GWM. Accident victims were transported to hospital for further treatment. This section of road is notorious for serious collisions, let this be a caution to the public to always stick to the speed limit!
