ACORN COTTAGE RENOVATION PART... ? Part ?... Ive lost track! The last ugly part of the Acorn Cottage is being fixed! Guests seldom knew it was there but we did. Theres a good size ugly spot between the entry and the small bedroom (the small bedroom was a porch and was the last renovation). Were shrinking the entry by about 2 feet and improving the small bedroom. I was able to salvage the rear wall of the entry so I can just move it instead of building a new one. Then were adding a REAL wall to the end of the bedroom with a closet and a door to the NEW store room. There was a wall to wall, ceiling to floor curtain there to hide the UGLY. Here in Florida basements and useful attics are VERY rare, so we need the store room. As you can see from some of the photos, the last couple of owners werent too concerned about appearances or finish work.
