John MacLean sings the music he loves with a voice that is honest and heartfelt. His own songs reflect on where the family meets the heart, with thought-provoking lyrics that linger. Letter Home was a runner-up in the 2004 Boston Folk Festival and 2005 Great Waters singer songwriter contests, and in the last year he has traveled beyond New England to the Texas Rally For Gun Sense in Austin, to perform his song Six, and to Black-Eyed Susan Acoustic Café in Angelica, New York. Locally he is a frequent guest host a Ellen Schmidt’s Action Jazz Café open mike. johnmacleanmusic4u@gmail facebook/pages/John-MacLean-Singer-Songwriter/24177021219 johnmacleanmusic/ Melissa Fleming and Charlie Ortolani have been performing together in bands since the early 1980s. Melissa has sung classical music, Broadway show tunes, country music as well as rock and Motown. Charlie has been playing guitar since the Johnson administration. His style is heavily influenced by James Taylor, Paul Simon, Richard Thompson, Albert Lee and Mississippi John Hurt. They have been in bands that have opened for Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson. With their singing partner Gerry Ryan they have also opened for Bill Staines, Michael Smith, Barry and Holly Tashian and Jez Lowe. youtu.be/KX0_yJXOp7A youtu.be/V3Q7iL5CrcM Glenn Jones is a talented multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and singer. He is new to New England, having just moved up from the Maryland suburbs of DC in the summer of 2013. He has played in numerous bands that have toured the east coast though the years. Since 2005 he has largely put down the Fender Precision and focused on solo acoustic music. His styles range widely through poppy, bluesy, and country veins, but tend to center on an alt-country vibe. With lyrics from the heart and a belting, energetic vocal style, this is an act you won’t want to miss! cdbaby/cd/glennjonesntb reverbnation/grjones
