ACROSS THE BRIDGE :p For many months we journeyed, Through too many moments of horrid Scenes, flashing at a pace so torrid, paddling through, alongside tall reeds Till at last we were across the drawbrige. Many pains walked past our panes, Many still yet cliimbed right in Through the window, to be our banes Many tales which could make sad writing But all that is past, were across the bridge. Every single day we lived was in fear, Of unforseen evils, we dwelt in despair All these terrors we hid from our peers Overwhelmed by theirs, they couldnt have cared But now we can share, were across the bridge. Too many loves lost at the river, Too many passions shorn with its drift Countless kisses that got short shrift Though not for hate or distaste of the giver, Now these may be had, were across the bridge. Day by day we crossed the bridge, Like play, like play, we crossed the bridge, Despite the August gust; cold like a fridge Needless to say, they may now toss the bridge For at long last, were across the bridge.
