ACTED is an International Non Governmental Organization registered in France with operations in Kyrgyzstan since 2005.It has been implementing programs aimed at promoting rural social economic development for vulnerable communities. ACTED is now announcing a vacancy for qualified candidates for the position specified below for “Conserving and Supporting the Biodiversity of Nut Tree Forests in Arstanbab” funded by Keidanren Conservation Fund. 1) Community Moiliser/Logistic Officer (reference # RW 1406/07) Duty station: Jalal-Abad (with visits to Osh) Contract duration: July-December 2014 Responsibilites: • Upon delegation and supervision by PM, engaging with local stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders and international and national partner organizations to plan and organize project activities, namely; Creation and capacity building of the Forest Management Committees in target communities; Organizing various meetings, workshops, conferences/seminars and other events Facilitating communities in developing production and marketing of nuts in support with experts Community mobilization at meetings, workshops, events on community, district and oblast levels, Ensuring accurate filling of project documentation Producing reports/memos on activities; Identifying gaps and reporting to PM immediately for improvement • Supporting ACTED AMEU staff at data collection, information collection • Supporting Osh Logistics Department in implementing logistics activities related to the program Qualifications: - Higher education in relevant field - Prior experience in the field of mobilization,logisitics preferably in local or international organizations - Ability to travel to the field , - Good communication skills with international and national staff as well as rural communities; - Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as well as the ability to plan, take initiative and organize work independently. In addition, impartiality, objectivity and confidentiality are imperative. - Good writing and conversational skills in Kyrgyz, English, and , knowledge of the Uzbek language a plus. - Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
