ACTION ALERT FOR LESTER CHAMBERS. The following was posted by Lester Chambers: Have you seen the Indian Motorcycle commercial featuring The Chambers Brothers song, Time Has Come Today? THEY NEVER ASKED MY PERMISSION FOR THE SONG!! No one contacted me from the Ad agency or from Sony for my permission which is a clause in my 1966 contract. After hearing from numerous friends it was being played nation wide and it started playing back in August I hoped they would pay something decent. Well I just got a check and it is less than 200 DOLLARS!! THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!! Please Share this in support for ALL musicians and singers getting justice! We have tried numerous times in the past to hire music attorneys but unless you have the money to fight no lawyer wants to take the case on. SONY knows this and it happens year after year again and again where they disregard my contract and just send me a statement. It took until 2008 for SONY to finally honor the clause in my contract that requires our written permission which means over 100 films, TV Shows and Commercials ILLEGALLY used our music!
