ACTION ALERT: please write Facebook on behalf of the Sick and Disabled Queer list. as I said earlier today my favorite Facebook group Completely deleted earlier today. when I say favorite I dont just mean favorite as in bubble gum is my favorite, I mean favorite as and save my life as well as that of other peoples. and I do mean literally saved my life! by deleting this Facebook has deleted hundreds if not millions of hours of peoples writings and work to connect us all and support us all in a world that doesnt think we should exist. there is tons of resources that I and hundreds of others kept using daily. here are the details on how to support us: FRIENDS plz support members of the Sick and Disabled Queers group on facebook as we try to push facebook to fully restore this immensely important space for disabled queer community! This group has literally saved peoples lives (mine included) and therefore this action has very real consequences for the SDQ folks who have relied on this space for their survival. Please write a letter of complaint to facebook, saying something as simple as the following: Im writing to complain about the Sick and Disabled Queers group on facebook being deleted. This group is immensely important for its members as it is a space for community building, resource sharing, and emotional support. It is a sacred place for disabled people that need each, to help each other get by. We share resources, talk, support each other. We have collective spent 100 of hours writing up resources and support for each other and we use the groups search fuction to find information we need, some of which is not available anywhere else. I urge you to restore all content and reinstate the group as soon as possible for the well being of the members! Thank you! The best mode we have found yet of contracting Facebook is a) go to the icon at the top right hand corner of the screen that looks like a downward facing arrow, and click on it b)Click Report a problem c) Click Something Isnt Working d) Click groups when it asks you for a category e) Write a letter expressing your outrage that SDQ was deleted, and asking for it to be reinstated immediately, with full archives. Please do so as soon as possible, if you can!
