ACTION FOR M.E. HAVE NOW ALSO ADVERTISED AND ARE SUPPORTING OUR PETITION IN N.I. Newry and Mourne M.E./Fibromyalgia Support Group has launched a petition asking Health Minister Edwin Poots to adopt the Canadian Consensus Criteria (CCC) as Northern Irelands official clinical guideline for M.E. It says: This move would give local doctors the best means to accurately identify patients with M.E. and this could potentially lead to better prospects for patient recovery and hopefully an earlier return to a productive life. You can add your signature to the petition via the link below. It has over 540 signatures so far and is open until mid-May. The group will then present their case to the Minister. “Adopting the CCC would allow Northern Ireland to take the lead in developing a more sympathetic and paced approach to the treatment of M.E.,” it adds.
