ADA VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: AMY HAMMER! Quack, Quack, Quack goes the duck phone all day long. In addition to fostering multiple dogs all the time, ADA Board member Amy Hammer spends a lot of time on the phone! A lover of coon hounds, she is always trying to find placement for them all. Her motto has always been act now, plan later! Think you are picking up 5 dogs for ADA? If Amy is in charge, chances are that number will double! Amy is a founding member of ADA, and a former Animal Control Officer. In 2011, she received The Humanitarian Award from the Virginia Federation of Humane Societies. She knows more about animal laws and regulations than most law enforcement officers we meet! We are lucky to have her and her handbook with us at all times! Balls to the wall, Amy!
