ADHD - I yearn...I need a stillness not just for my soul, but for my senses. A band playing a full set - nonstop over and over and over again. Full throttle traffic during a slow midday rush hour. Subway cars full of indifferent zombies with no air or connection flowing between them. Hardened hands pass my face, begging for a moment of my space for just a quarter, or if I am feeling generous: a dollar. A thousand trains passing by...Its THIS PARTY that NEVER ends. Somewhere up above behind me I hear the faint drumming of what I think is actually my heart- that cagéd thing thrashing against the bars of my chest. Screaming at me to learn how to turn off my eyes and close my ears.
